In depth

Verdict

Little strength in depth and it should boil down to a match between Forest Gunner and Fireball Macnamara with TEAMtalk preference for the former. The Richard Ford-trained gelding was the better of the pair over hurdles and made a pleasing debut over the larger obstacles when making all to score at Sedgefield last month. The eight-year-old can defy a 6lb penalty at the expense of Fireball Macnamara who has failed to impress with his jumping technique over fences and looks to have something to find with the selection on these terms.
