Verdict
Gina Andrews is the most experienced rider in this but her mount Rebel Flag is one of several returning from a length lay-off. Pointers Landenstown Star and Bach On Tow have plenty to prove under Rules and the latter is racing from 10lb out of the handicap while Balustrade hasn't shown much in his last couple of runs. Michael Chapman's pair Galley Slave and Peak Seasons are usually worth opposing so RUBY VALENTINE is the default selection on account of the fact that this is at least her best trip and she did dead-heat at Stratford a year ago off a 5lb higher mark.
