Verdict
Maid Of Tuscany runs for the first time since finishing second at Southwell in October but would have a chance in this if fully wound-up. There are signs that Distant Rain is starting to get the hang of things while Neworld's only victory so far came over course and distance in December and the grey is only a pound higher. GIN AND TONIC was only third that day but only weakened at the last and, on 2lb better terms, may well turn the tables today with in-form Ryan Hatch claiming a valuable 3lb. Act Of Supremacy, third in a maiden hurdle here in the autumn, is unexposed but the handicapper has taken no chances.
