In depth
Verdict
Hacker Des Places was a very short price on his UK debut at Wincanton but proved no match for stablemate Viroflay and again carries a penalty in this along with Jersey Grey. Grouseman improved on his fourth at Warwick when second at Catterick but the interesting one might be THE CINCINNATI KID. Alan King now trains this son of Charm Spirit, who was a progressive sort on the level for Richard Hannon and won a 1m6f handicap at Chelmsford last month. Tamaris finished third at Huntingdon on his hurdles bow and looks best of the rest.
