In depth

Verdict

JOLY MAKER had been running well before brought down at Perth and has strong claims again, despite creeping up the weights. Tanrudy’s latest run when joint favourite at Fontwell was too bad to be true but it is not certain that this big drop in distance will suit, though this is a stiff track when the going is on the soft side of good. Centreofexcellence finished tailed off at Southwell but will strip fitter here and can’t get much lower in the weights while Voila Eric may have more scope than most of these.
