In depth

Verdict

IRON CHANCELLOR ran State Benefit to a nose over 2m6f here in December. Alan King's six-year-old is still heading in the right direction and can get off the mark over the extra quarter-mile today. State Benefit's stable companion Loose Preformer will be a big danger on the evidence of head second to Jack The Gent over 2m4f at Doncaster last month while Definite Dawn probably didn't get home over 3m3f at Fontwell last time, though is becoming expensive to follow. Winning pointers Giveabobback and Our Island may be best of the rest as Flat winner Swingkeel rather lost his way last year and will probably need the experience of jumping hurdles for the first time.
