        Verdict

        Deserter makes his Flat debut but has won three times over hurdles. Knab Rock has been placed in a bumper and War Drums was second over track and trip after a lengthy absence and the older horses are only giving a pound to Spirit Ridge, penalised after winning a four-runner maiden at Catterick. Moon of Baroda has been placed in handicaps but disappointed last time at Beverley and is now visored. He is also rated 3lb lower than Needs To Be Seen, placed twice in Ireland for Joseph O’Brien. CAPESTRA didn’t look an easy ride when fourth at Newbury but that was only his second start. He’s a half-brother to three winners so should be capable of better.
