Verdict

LEN BRENNAN returned to action in good fashion when coming up the hill well to claim fourth spot in the amateur riders' race at the opening Cheltenham meeting. Charlie Price takes a useful 3lb off and he should be involved at the business end despite conceding weight all round. Le Tueur has a good record here since joining Peter Bowen from the pointing sphere and will be ideally suited to trip and ground. He's been off since early February though and the assured fitness of the selection just tilts the balance. Mouseinthehouse is a shortlist 'must' having won twice here last year and now only 2lb higher than when recording the second of those wins. He, too, is back from a break but should go well. Gats And Co, a winning pointer, is well worth keeping an eye on making his handicap bow.
