Verdict

Richard Hannon saddles two runners here with jockey bookings suggesting that Mirabella is the more likely winner than Three Ducks but the form suggests otherwise and the last mentioned deserves to get her head in front having finished second in her last three outings. She has been raised 4lb since her most recent start though and may again have to settle for minor honours. Ashkalara is far from certain to stay this far, while Fame Is The Spur looks too high in the handicap after her win at Newmarket two runs ago. Peter Makin's Night Sky should be thereabouts but preference is for Marcus Tregoning's BALATOMA, who looks to be going the right way, was good value for her win in a Salisbury maiden last month and she looks well treated off a mark of 70.
