Verdict

Ulis De Vassy is likely to be all the rage here after his neck second to the prolific Quaddick Lake at Wincanton. But he's gone up 6lb for that effort 11 days ago and may not represent much in the way of value. SCORCHED SON ran his best race so far for Tim Vaughan in this 12 months ago when chasing home the useful Mountainous. He will have needed his comeback at Sandown and, guaranteed to go on the ground, gets a tentative vote to go one better today. Jockey bookings suggest Captain Paulie is preferred to stablemate Clarion Call but Captain Sharpe is out of form and C&D winner Street Dance also has a bit to prove at present.
