In depth

Verdict

WOOD YER has form in slightly better company and has dropped 5lb since his last win. The going can’t be soft enough for Nigel Twiston-Davies’ charge, who is taken to bounce back to form. Magical Man is bidding for a fourth course victory having beaten Misty Mai by a neck over slightly shorter here last time, though the runner-up is 2lb better off. Lac Sacre is another who likes it here but he is out of sorts and Cracked Rear View was among the first beaten on his reappearance at Doncaster and may need another outing.
