In depth

Verdict

A couple of these went close last time though Major Gatsby’s second at Lingfield came over a longer trip and VAPE is preferred. The latter missed out only by a neck over today’s distance at Newbury and can go one better. Hydration finished third of six runners at Windsor and this faster going may suit as he makes his handicap debut while Beyond Equal drops down a grade and should finish closer as a consequence.
