In depth

Verdict

Only four runners face the starter in this but it's an interesting contest nevertheless. It's probably asking a lot of U B Carefull to win after a lay-off but the other trio appear closely matched. AP McCoy has partnered Black Jack Blues in both of victories over fences but deserts the eight-year-old here in favour of BARIZAN and the hint should be taken. After winning on his chasing bow at Fontwell, the five-year-old fell when going clear at Southwell but bounced back from that mishap to score at Newton Abbot and looks a decent prospect. Pure Faith has already won at Aintree and Perth and is a course winner over hurdles here but may struggle to reverse form over 2m with Black Jack Blues at the track in June.
