In depth

Verdict

A few of these are likely having a run before resuming their chase careers. Last season’s Welsh Grand National fifth Prime Venture is one but he finished behind Captain Drake in the Midlands National in March. Colorado Doc returned with a win over hurdles at Worcester three weeks ago and Acey Milan has a chance at the weights. Legends Gold has a good strike-rate over timber and Take Your Time should figure if handling the step up in trip. Eyeofthescorpion is in good form but GLADIATEUR ALLEN has hardly put a foot wrong so far and 3m should suit given the way he rallied when third in a Grade 3 at Sandown in March.
