Verdict

Bladoun steps up in trip after a debut third over 1m6f at Newcastle and will be better once hurdling, while Tarmac Girl is getting plenty of weight but will still need to improve on her recent third over C&D. General Ross should finish closer with a debut at Ludlow under his belt, but the vote goes to GOD OF THE KOP. He finished runner-up at Newbury on his introduction in November and normal improvement should see him off the mark in this. Tim Vaughan runs a couple of newcomers in the same colours and jockey bookings suggest Swift Escape could prove the best that pair.
