Verdict
Material World is the confident choice here with Spring Lover and Autumn Rain the other for the shortlist. The selection has got a great strike-rate with two wins from two races and is the type that looks to be open to more improvement. He won well last time beating Kingscote Thunder at Hereford, and will be difficult to pass here if he reproduces that effort. Spring Lover represents the main danger and although he was a disappointing favourite behind River Pirate at Ludlow last time, he does have winning form in France and has to be respected. Autumn Rain will not be too far away at the finish either and he was a fair third behind Coolsan at Warwick last time, but he has a long absence from the track to overcome and is opposed for that reason. This is a fairly open race, but Material World is in good heart at present and will take all the beating.
