        Verdict

        The usual mantra of watch the market applies but without reference to it, MONSIEUR CHEVALIER is the selection with Safari Camp and Musiara on the shortlist. Richard Hannon's charge is a full brother to winning sprinter, Mister Fips and with that horse effective on decent ground, we'll take the chance that his brother will favour the same. Safari Camp represents a yard that can have them ready first time up. Mick Channon has had a couple of early season juveniles of note so do not discount Musiara, who is a half-sister to the stable's Batleur. Little Prec's pedigree suggests that a little more time may be preferable. Similar comments applying to Whip Up, who was one of the more expensive acquisitions at the sales. Lady Lion has plenty of speed on both sides of her pedigree and is probably the pick of the Bill Turner contingent. Diamond Laura is a half-sister to Agnes Love and is likely to make a beeline for the far rail this afternoon. Ever So Bold was unfancied on debut and ran accordingly. A typical early season maiden for the juveniles and Monseiur Chevalier can continue the good form of the Richard Hannon stable.
