Verdict
This race provides an excellent opportunity for Dancing Lyra to gain a first career win; the dangers may come from the newcomers Gavroche, Fritillary and Mindset. Dancing Lyra was not disgraced in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot last time and all three of his runs are well above the performances of the others to have previously raced, so John Hills' colt deserves to get his head in front here. Mark Wallace has made an excellent impression with his juvenile team this term, so the market is likely to provide a guide as to the chances of the nicely-bred debutant, Gavroche, while Fritillary hails from another stable that is capable of produving a winner first time out and is also respected. But Dancing Lyra sets a decent standard here and looks the one they all have to beat.
