Verdict
Dancing Dik looks the one to be on in this handicap and he is nominated over Ultimate Quest and Trenchant. The selection ran a solid race in defeat behind Hadron Collider at Kempton last time. The cheek-pieces are on again today and they have had a positive effect in the past, and if he can reproduce his latest effort then he will be the one they all have to beat. Sir Mark Prescott has won this race twice in the last four years so Ultimate Quest has to merit plenty of respect. He was disappointing on his handicap debut last time but he failed to see out the trip and the drop back to today's distance should suit. Trenchant showed plenty of promise on his handicap debut here last time and he gave the impression that day that this step-up in trip would play to his strengths. Paul Cole has been amongst the winner recently so Trinkila could be worth considering at an each-way price. However, for the winner we will stick with Dancing Dik.
