A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Young Bertie. Arctic Desert and Metropolitan Chief and the vote is given to the last named. The selection has dropped to a handy mark and has been unlucky in running of late he looks sure to have the race run to suit and he is a sporting bet in an open affair. Arctic Desert rates the main danger on his latest second behind Hart Of Gold but consistency is not is strong point and he is taken on with this in mind. Young Bertie is another that could go well on his latest third behind Contented. He looks sure to be suited by the return to this longer trip and should be watched in the market. Whistleupthewind shaped as if returning to form when third behind Tara Too and is another with place claims while Mocha Java hails from a yard in top-form and could go well at a price but in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Metropolitan Chief.
