In depth

Verdict

HARDY RED makes more appeal than both Pippy and Smiling Shark on his close-up second at Nottingham last week. The likely slow ground is an unknown for him but, if Jamie Osborne's colt handles the going, he's the one to beat. Royal Mizar is related to winners in France and Spain but fellow newcomer Joey's Destiny is the first foal of a winning sprinter and makes more appeal on his racecourse debut.
