In depth

Verdict

Souriceau has run four sound races over hurdles and can open his account today. Troialini could give him most to do with Book Of Facts and Hurricane Thomas others to consider. Troialini was set to finish in front of the selection at Fontwell last time only to fall at the last. That was a vast improvement on his debut and he should go well if suffering no ill effects. Souriceau has run better races either side of that contest though, particularly on his latest start at Lingfield where he finished close up to a couple of fair sorts from big yards; the three were twenty lengths clear of the remainder. Hurricane Thomas may prove capable of better as may Book Of Facts although the form of his promising debut may not amount to much; this looks much less competitive than the race that the selection ran third in last time and Souriceau is taken to lead them home.
