Verdict
An interesting contest which can go to Byo, who met plenty of trouble in running on his latest outing and did well to finish where he did. He is at home on fast ground and can prove too speedy for his rivals in this. Blackheath meets the selection on 12lbs worse terms than if meeting in a handicap and River Days would also be meeting the selection on 5lbs better terms in a handicap. However, the latter has been in good form on the All-Weather and is proven on fast ground. With Darryll Holland coming here principally to ride him, rather than go to Newmarket, Gay Kellaway's charge must not be underestimated.
