Verdict
Manawanui, Get The Point and Gemi Bed look to be the three to concentrate on here, with the former just getting the vote. Robert Alner has his string in fine form and although the selection was no world beater over hurdles he has always looked as though he would do better over the larger obstacles. Today's rivals look a very moderate bunch and Manawanui can land the prize. Gemi Bed hails from the in form Gary Moore yard and although outclassed at Kempton last time should be in firing line against this field. Get The Point is from a stable with limited resources but did well to beat Repunzel at Towcester last month and should make another bold bid. Mark Equal is from a top stable so is worth a look in the betting but for the winner we will stick with Manawanui.
