Verdict
A desperate novices' handicap chase with the top weight Ashbury Star, who has been well held recently, rated just 90. Having found just Nick The Jewel too good at Hereford last month, Kind Sir gained a well deserved victory on a return visit to the same venue two earlier this month. However, a 10lb rise since then is harsh and Tony Carroll's gelding may struggle to follow up. That said, the opposition here is poor. Skinsey Finnegan looks to have plenty of weight for what he has achieved, Renaloo is on the downgrade and New Zealand hurdles winner Macgyver has not shown enough from limited opportunities to warrant support. The TEAMtalk verdict then is for Dellone. Admittedly Tom George's 10-year-old has shown very little over hurdles since winning at Hereford in February but the return to chasing may rekindle his enthusiasm and, with the stable in such good form, he could be worth a small interest.
