Verdict

This is a moderate contest and what can only be a tentative vote goes to the relatively unexposed Oncle Bul, from Robert Alner's in-form yard, who is preferred to Krasivi's Boy and Yenaled. The last mentioned finished tailed off in a claimer at Plumpton last time but he had little chance at the weights that day and has to be respected here off his current handicap mark. Wondersobright made a promising return in a similar contest here last time and has to be respected on that evidence but, like his opponents, the eight-year-old is not the most consistent of performers. Great Compton and Rose of York are others worthy of a mention along with Krasivi's Boy, who comes here fit from the flat. Preference though is for Oncle Bul who may be good enough to win this poor contest.
