        Verdict

        Mark Johnston can land division two of the maiden with KARTA; Lady Micklegate and Mastoora are also considered. The selection has a good draw and he improved on his debut run when chasing home Clippity Clop at Southwell last month. He looks to be going the right way and nominal improvement should make him tough to beat. Lady Micklegate was denied a clear run at Lingfield last time, but nonetheless more will be required today if she is to land this, although she will get maximum assistance from Robert Winston in the saddle. Mastoora and Mackten are interesting newcomers who both catch the eye on breeding so if the market vibes were positive then it could pay to take the hint. However, Karta sets a decent standard and looks the one to beat.
