Verdict

VINCITORE's penalty is negated by his conditional jockey and the gelding may be able to follow up on his win at Huntingdon. That was a big step up on his hurdling bow over this course and distance but there was no fluke about his narrow defeat of a decent yardstick with the pair pulling a long way clear of the third. It will clearly be interesting to see what the market makes of his rivals with Iona Days and Molanna View of particular interest given their connections. El Diego was rated in the seventies on the Flat which suggests that he could prove to be a fair performer if translating that level of ability to this game. Moonwolf is another to note along with Hill Forts Gloria who is the first foal of a half-sister to the useful Ad Hoc and could improve for going over obstacles.
