Special Envoy showed more promise last time out when fourth to the smart Ringaroses, however the step up in trip doesn't look ideal and so he is taken on with Captain's Legacy. The selection ran with credit last time out at Plumpton and looks sure to appreciate the extra distance today as he looks to be a strong stayer. This doesn't appear to be a strong contest and he could be up to the task. The main danger should be Special Envoy who was a fair flat-performer on the continent but hasn't reproduced that form to date over hurdles. However he should be fine on the ground, and with the help of Richard Johnson on board, he must go close. Of the rest, I'm Free just plodded on on his hurdles debut but is entitled to improve. However he looks one for fences with time so is passed over, as is Itsa Legend who fell early on into his hurdles debut. He was a fair bumper performere so could easily run into a place, but for the winner we return to Captain's Legacy.
