Verdict

Storm Survivor can do better this season, while Cresswell Crusader has been placed in his three previous starts over timber. Promised Wings ran in snatches when runner-up to Not So Sure Dick over C&D last week but races off the same mark today and can't be ignored. He makes more appeal than stablemate Marie Deja La. Thornton Alice won on heavy ground at Newcastle in February and still has some scope, but the ground could be a problem for Border Station. HOHLETHELONELY hasn't raced since May of last year but Venetia Williams can get them ready at home and, a pound lower than winning on soft ground at Kempton in 2009, it may be worth taking a chance on the seven-year-old's fitness here.
