    Verdict

    Donald McCain has sent Golden Investment down from Cheshire in a bid to end a frustrating sequence of placed efforts. He was only beaten half-a-length at Cartmel last month but is still giving lumps of weight to DAY OF ROSES. Jeremy Scott’s charge won in a canter over track and trip nine days ago on just his second start over fences and should have few problems defying a penalty. De Blacksmith has always been a tricky customer and seems to be regressing.
