Verdict
Ouragan Lagrange may have just too much experience for Master Overseer, with Forest Silver going the right way and worth a mention at least. Ouragan Lagrange belied his big starting price when chasing home the much more fancied Carl Llewellyn inmate Kid Charlemagne over a shorter trip on his debut here in January, and this future chaser in the making should benefit enough from this step up in trip to go close today. Forest Silver will be having his fourth career start, and he too came up against a useful Llewellyn runner in Debauchery at Plumpton last time. Firmly put in his place then, he looks the sort to follow when sent hurdling. The dark horse here is Master Overseer, who could turn out to be a cut above average. The Pipe four-year-old was resold for 50,000gns as a three-year-old and could be anything. Connections will not want him to have too hard a race on the testing ground, but if he is in with a sniff, he has the right man on board. However, we shall pin our hopes on Ouragan Lagrange.
