In depth

Upped in trip, winning pointer Reikers Island will need to settle better than he did at Exeter 12 days ago if he is to get home. Boreham Bill fulfilled earlier promise when taking a maiden at Southwell but a drop back in distance worked the oracle for GOLDEN SUNRISE at Exeter and he may be the one to beat on that form. Indian Hercules won at Uttoxeter in November but never threatened under a penalty at Wetherby next time and has had a break since.

Boreham Bill (IRE) 15-8 (11-4) Made all, clear when shaken up before last, driven out, unchallenged, won at Southwell 2m 4f mdn (5) sft in Feb beating Monbeg Oscar (11-4) by 2l, 10 ran.

Golden Sunrise (IRE) 2-1 (11-4) Tracked leaders, effort 3 out, ridden after next, led narrowly last, edged left and kept on flat, held on near finish, won at Exeter 2m 3f (4) hvy in Feb beating Mount Rushmoore (11-4) by 3/4l, 13 ran.

Indian Hercules (IRE) 4-1 (11-4) Held up in touch, tracked leaders 4 out, driven and outpaced before next, no impression after, 6th of 10, 14l behind Knight In Dubai (10-12) at Wetherby 2m 5f (4) sft in Dec.

Reikers Island (IRE) 9-2 (11-3) Close up, every chance when fell 2 out, at Exeter 2m 3f (4) sft in Feb.

Stockburn (IRE) 66-1 (11-4) Held up towards rear, pushed along and outpaced before 4 out, kept on steadily into never dangerous 5th towards finish, 5th of 12, 28 3/4l behind Ok Corral (11-10) at Kempton 2m 5f (4) sft in Feb.

Mighty Vic (IRE) 33-1 (10-12) Never better than mid-division, weakened 3 out, 6th of 12, 30 1/4l behind Jersey Bean (10-12) at Fontwell 2m 3f (4) gs in Feb.

Pandinus Imperator (IRE) 100-1 (9-11) Slowly away in rear, pushed along halfway, never on terms, 6th of 8, 22 1/4l behind Darksideoftarnside (9-5) at Pontefract 1m 4f mdn stks (5) sft in Oct.
