Verdict
Course winner COMMANCHE RED gets the nod to defy his penalty in this and fellow previous winner Mon Port. Chris Gordon’s five-year-old can only improve for his first experience over hurdles and the Olly Murphy runner needs to bounce back from a dismal performance when a hot favourite at Fakenham. Firmage Burg refused to race at Ffos Las after a close-up third at Worcester but Go George Go is an interesting newcomer and Savanna Roar looks the best of Ben Pauling’s pair.
