      Verdict

      Governor Daniel is the best of these on BHB ratings and barring accidents he should be too good for L'Etang Bleu and Wrangel. Ian Williams' charge is not getting any younger but his enthusiasm at this level is there for all to see and he is anticipated to add to his impressive tally on Monday. McCoy would have had the choice to take the mount on L'Etang Bleu. He is exposed at a modest level and would have preferred lightening fast ground to be at his best. Wrangel goes well for Emily Jane Jones. She conjured a win in a weaker race at Southwell aboard him last month but the fact that nobody bid for him in the sales ring says it all. Gary Moore landed a double on Saturday and he is represented by Ressource. First time blinkers didn't work at Plumpton and he is not favoured at the weights on this occasion. All Isca Maiden's form is on softer ground and he returns after a eight month absence. Governor Daniel is proven in the grade and is duly given as our selection in the opener.
