      Verdict

SPYDER overcame an early error to beat subsequent Chepstow scorer Such A Legend at Towcester on only his second start over timber. He can follow up here at the main expense of Long Lunch, who wasn't disgraced when trying to concede 7lb to Saint Jerome at Warwick. Houndscourt hasn't been seen since trying fences at Wetherby in December but Generous Helpings had Royal Ripple behind when a promising third on his debut at Kempton and has more scope than stablemate Gun Shy.
