Verdict

Pret A Thou makes his seasonal debut here and will do well to confirm last year's running at Uttoxeter with HIGHWAY CODE. The latter re-opposes on better terms today and has a recent third at Aintree under his belt. Richard Lee's hurdler gets the vote in a competitive contest ahead of Spear Thistle, who should also improve for a recent pipe-opener and Warne's Way, who won this last year off a 10lb lower mark and ran well on the Flat last month. Ned Ludd took this back in 2008, while Bally Legend has claims on the best of his form and chaser Cruchain could go well as he reverts to hurdling off a 5lb lower mark.
