Verdict

The three year old Impulsive American ran well against older hurdlers last time and should be thereabouts. New Street beat his own age group at Stratford in March but another four year old BARON ALCO has tumbled down the weights since well beaten in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham and took advantage at Stratford last month. Capable of better still off his current mark, he gets the nod. Faithful Mount has only won a maiden hurdle so far though scored on the Flat at Salisbury last month while Boss Des Mottes ran well for fourth in a higher grade at Chepstow last time and is preferred to the returning Kudu Country.
