Verdict

MON PARRAIN (NAP) probably hasn’t made the impact expected in hunter chases this year but he did win easily here in February and wouldn’t have been suited by the fast ground when a disappointing favourite last time at Newton Abbot. He is well clear of the others on official ratings and has an experienced amateur on board so should take all the beating today. Man Of Steel has been a bit disappointing under Rules since beating Big Fella Thanks at Lingfield in February, though did win a point-to-point earlier this month and is preferred to Little Chip and Little Legend.
