Verdict

Paul Nicholls’ yard has won two of the last three renewals and this looks between stablemates Alcala and BOB AND CO. The former won one of these events at Haydock last week and should go close again but the latter was having only his second outing for the yard when scoring easily at Bangor last time. A first-time hood had the desired effect on that occasion and there looks more to come from him. Kelvingrove is next best at the weights though still has plenty to find having failed to complete at Wincanton last time and the remaining pair face even tougher tasks.
