In depth

Verdict

Both Al Amaan and Chestnut Ben were engaged at Lingfield yesterday, while the former's stablemate Sawago hasn't shown much since arriving from France. Tecktal has to be of interest, however, having won over hurdles at Plumpton last month before finishing second at Huntingdon and Pat Phelan's mare makes more appeal than the erratic Capdalight. Paddy The Yank was pulled up on his return and may need more time but SABLAZO ran a lot better at Stratford last time and could finally be getting the hang of jumping fences. A little further improvement could see Andy Turnell's charge in the winner's enclosure here.
