    Verdict

Mardi Roberta is selected ahead of Debut and Poker Queen. These races rarely have much strength in depth and Mardi Roberta could not have been more impressive in a recent demolition job over course and distance, and she is taken to defy a penalty. Debut is a likeable enough individual on breeding as she is closely related to Cockspur and No Shennanigans. It would be no surprise to see her forward in her work. Poker Queen should have few problems staying this trip as she is a daughter of Karinga Bay. Ballerina Girl has questions to answer after a disappointing first outing. Maybellino is respected from a stable that are sending out winners left, right and centre. Floradorada is related to a number of bumper winners although as an inmate of the Paul Nicholls stable, she is likely to trade at short odds. A tough opener but one that can go the way of experience, and it is to Mardi Roberta that we turn.
