Verdict
WARDINGTON LAD is taken to land this competitive race in which Last Flight and Master 'N Commander figure prominently in calculations. The last named won very easily at Tramore when last in action but there's a chance that he may just need this run on his return over a trip that could stretch his stamina. This stiffer test could bring about some improvement from Dabaratsa who was outpaced here last time but others have stronger claims on the book. They include Last Flight who ran on well to score at Aintree and she should see out this trip well enough as she stayed well on the level. She's 9lbs higher but is unexposed after just five starts and merits the utmost respect. However, we're going to take her on with Wardington Lad who has been in sparkling form of late; he's run at some testing venues so this longer trip should hold no fears for him and he could still be a step ahead of the handicapper now that he's found his form. Pseudonym cannot be ignored but it's been a while since he ran two races alike so we're happy to overlook him and side with Wardington Lad.
