Verdict

BEAUFORT WEST (NAP) returned from win surgery to post an effortless success at Chepstow last month and the Tizzard gelding - thought good enough to contest the 2019 Supreme Novices Hurdle - has been found a golden opportunity to augment that first success before going on to better things. Point-to-point winner, Wheesht, looks next best although it would not surprise if Grand Slam produced some improvement after a mid-division finish on debut at Wincanton earlier in the month for the champion trainer.
