In depth
Verdict
Akdam landed a minor race at Musselburgh and, after a reasonable run in a Cheltenham Grade 2, hasn't been beaten far in his two runs this month. Garde Ville is bred for chasing and David Pipe's French acquisition may not have the pace for this tight track. Ninepointsixthree was a 50/1 chance when making his debut over timber at Lingfield but may have won but for a last-flight blunder though it was a very ordinary race. VANDROSS had run well on the Flat for Chris Wall and made a promising debut over hurdles for new connections on this track where he wasn't far behind the potentially useful Muhtaris. With normal progress he can gain his first success.
