In depth

Verdict

Lucy Wadham and Tony McCoy teamed up with MANSHOOR at Plumpton earlier this month and the combination proved very effective, the grey coming home a couple of lengths in front of Beside The Fire with subsequent penalised winner Wheres Johnny fourth. A 7lb rise doesn't appear excessive and a double looks on the cards. No To Trident, a winner at Taunton in 2008, had almost two years off before a run on the Flat at Windsor in October followed by a fall when well clear when strongly fancied for a selling hurdle at Stratford. Connections will be looking for compensation but Just The Job, a dual winner at around 2m6f in November, will probably find this on the short side.
