Verdict

Tony McCoy is a rare booking for Laura Young so the chances of recent point-to-point winner Patricktom Boru have to be respected on this first run for the yard. However, HAWK GOLD receives plenty of weight from the former and has returned from an absence to post a couple of very decent efforts, latterly when battling home to Plumpton success under his talented amateur jockey who resumes the partnership here. A 5lb rise for that recent victory is acceptable. Osmosia and Fair Breeze, closely matched on previous running, aren't discounted along with the consistent On The Feather, a useful and consistent dual purpose performer in this sort of grade.
