Verdict

This hasn't been a particularly good race for the Dermot Weld yard over the years and Show Court will be expected to put that right. A lightly-raced type, he won on soft ground at Leopardstown last year and showed just how much those conditions suit with a facile success at Sligo in June. However, he faces very stiff opposition and Aidan O'Brien has a fair record in the race so Kingdom looks a big threat after his victory on fast going at Fairyhouse as he's even more likely to enjoy tonight's ground. Plinth also represents Ballydoyle and he's another progressive type who made a decent handicap debut on ground too fast at the Curragh in June. CURLEY BILL is progressing nicely and though no match for Dabadiyan in a very tough handicap at the Curragh he had some useful performers behind and can go one better.
