In depth

Verdict

Six of these ran in the Midlands National at Kilbeggan won luckily by Na Trachtalai Abu after Barra fell at the last when clear. TESSERACT did best of them in second and should confirm the form with fourth-placed Ned Stark and Icantsay, Mill Quest, Swingbridge and Cecil Corbett, who were all further behind. Minella Beau has won twice around here including at the fixture a year ago and his poor form at the backend of last year came in much tougher contests. Top Of The Charts is improving with every run though this is much tougher than the novices' handicap he won at Perth while stable companion Mac N Cheese has also been in good form though in lower grade. Denis Hogan's yard has been in outstanding form and Ocean Glandore has contributed two victories to the tally but Treasure Chest's two recent victories have been over 2m and he hasn't proved he stays this far. Mindsmadeup went up 10lb for an impressive victory at Downpatrick before running well in a better race at Limerick.
