Verdict

Dermot Weld and Aidan O'Brien have been sharing this between them for many years and though Timothy Doyle's Gumption ran well behind Unanimous at Leopardstown, he has it all to do against the two main protagonists here. Pale Mimosa represents Weld and she's no doubt been laid out for this. She's by Singspiel and a full-sister to a winning hurdler so her debut effort over a mile at Cork in October was a very fair run and she'll do her best to get into the frame. However, BUCKINGHAM GATE hasn't done much wrong and may not have been suited by front-running tactics on his last two starts at Leopardstown. He still ran well and with a fitness advantage is taken to gain his first victory.
